RESUMO

O episódio do cavaleiro traidor, que se encontra no início do Lancelot en prose, apresenta um quadro social que sugere já os temas e constructos narrativos que iremos encontrar ao longo de todo o ciclo em prosa, com exceção da matéria do Graal. Dedicou-se, por isso, este estudo a analisar os traços que fazem deste episódio uma representação do projeto ideológico do romance arturiano em prosa.

ABSTRACT

The episode of the treasonable knight, which can be found at the beginning of Lancelot en prose, presents a social framework that suggests in advance the themes and narrative construction that we are to find throughout the prose cycle, with the exception of the matter of the Grail. Therefore, the present study aims to clarify the features that make this episode a representation of the ideological project of the Arthurian prose romance.
