Statistics Teaching in Psychology: An Interdisciplinar Collaboration Experience with the Social Work and Psychology Subject

Abstract

We present an innovative teaching experience based on the interdisciplinary collaboration between students and teachers of two Psychology subjects of the University of Valencia: Statistics and Work Social Psychology. The learning evidences for both subjects were based in the statistical analysis of a data set gathered by the own students. According to the analysis results, this experience has been highly valued by the students. It has had an important role in motivating students, encouraging them to value statistics as an integral part of the research process and as an important element of their academic training.
