QR codes implementation and evaluation in teaching laboratories of Chemical Engineering
Abstract
Quick response codes (QR) are matrix bar codes widely used in business and marketing to embed web page links, among other things. Nowadays, plenty of electronic devices such as smartphones and tables include apps able to scan the QR codes. Then, the information can be viewed at any time, saved in the device, or shared. Some examples of its application in education can be found, but there are no examples focusing on Chemical Engineering. This work presents the implementation and evaluation of the QR codes in Chemical Engineering laboratory sessions linked to multimedia teaching resources (teaching videos and supplementary information).
