OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
This special issue will focus on papers that analyse one or more of the following areas:
- Does it work? Exploring the causal relationship between analytics and student outcomes
- Can engagement analytics tackle societal inequalities and resolve gaps in student outcomes and achievement?
- Using engagement analytics as a catalyst for cultural change
- Does engagement analytics pay? An industry-focused critical evaluation of engagement analytics identifying future directions and initiatives
- The effectiveness of engagement analytics at predicting student outcomes
- Engagement v disengagement: What insights on student disengagement can be gained from better understanding of ‘engagement’
IMPORTANT DATES

30 July 2022. Full articles received for peer review.
1 October 2022. Response and comments from external reviewers, coordinated by the guest editors.
31 January 2023. Final versions submitted to REALIA.
