Resumen
Resumen: En el setenta aniversario de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos es interesante analizar la aparición de un nuevo derecho humano. El derecho al agua potable y el saneamiento fue reconocido por el Consejo de Derechos Humanos y la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas. Sin embargo, no se ha incluido en ningún texto normativo vinculante. Para garantizar su respeto es imprescindible su codificación. La adopción de la Agenda 2030 y el setenta aniversario de la Declaración son el marco perfecto para su inclusión en el catálogo de derechos humanos.
Abstract: In the seventieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights it is of interest to analyze the emergence of a new human right. The human right to drinking water and sanitation was recognized by the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations. However, it has not been included in any binding legal text yet. To ensure its protection it is essential to codify it. The adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the seventieth anniversary of the declaration are a unique framework to include it in the catalogue of human rights.
