El compromiso con la sustentabilidad en el activismo ecologista


Resumen


En este artículo se exponen los principales resultados de un estudio exploratorio del compromiso con la sostenibilidad de los activistas ecologistas. El análisis de las narrativas de los participantes, obtenidas a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas de 7 activistas ecologistas muestra como su compromiso con la sostenibilidad se corresponde con el desarrollo de un enfoque ecosocial de la sostenibilidad que se descompone en un factor ambiental y un factor social que interrelacionan entre sí. También se relaciona con una identidad ambiental de conexión con la naturaleza; una pluralidad de identidades individuales como agentes de cambio y roles sociales (activistas, conservacionistas, consumidores, productores, usuarios de servicios) que refleja la pluralidad dimensiones de la vida que se integran en el compromiso con la sostenibilidad; y una identidad social dentro del movimiento ecologista, que se correspondería con el ecologismo social.
