Argentinian geologist and palaeontologist (1961–2023). He was a professor at the National University of Comahue, Neuquén and the National University of La Palma (Argentina). He was a pioneer in the search for vertebrate fossils in Patagonia. His research focused on sauropods and dinosaur footprints. Other areas of research included theropods, dinosaur eggs, ornithopods and other vertebrate fossils from northern Patagonia. He participated in more than 2,000 excavations in search of fossils. He was one of the founders of the Rincón de los Sauces Museum in Neuquén in 2000 and of the Dino Park geopalaeontological project in 2002.
