Resumen

The work YIZKEREM (from Hebrew: May Our Lord Remember Them) is a memorial to the Holocaust of the Jewish nation. Since the composer – Bracha Bdil – belongs to the Eastern European Orthodox community, many of her works are based on the musical tradition of the Jewish Eastern Europe modes and texts from the sources. The fusion of contemporary compositional technique with the elements of ancient Jewish tradition leads the composer to a personal authentic compositional language.
