Resumen

The book "Music and Women, Gender and Power", published in 1998, collected under the compilation of the composer Marisa Manchado, a series of studies on women and gender in music, which meant a turning point in Spanish bibliography. Ten years later the subject's advance shows positive results in various fields, both as far as quality and quantity are concerned. The need to continue mentioning the past and present production of female creators in a patriarchal society only proofs that there is still a lot of work to do.
