La ópera en Valencia durante la monarquía de Alfonso XIII


Resumen


During the reign of Alfonso XIII opera was a highly regarded art form by the Spanish society in general and Valencia in particular. Italian opera was preferred by the public, but also French, German and Spanish operas were highly valued and had their own space in the extensive program of theaters. This article investigates the situation of the opera in Valencia during the monarchy of Alfonso XIII and the general features of the actors that played a role in their representation.
