Resumen

Phylloxera was import from the United States into Europa with new plants and its effects where first noted in France. It devastated French vineyards from the late 1860s and caused the boom of the Spanish wines exportation to France accompanied on a great Spanish vineyards expansion. The plage invaded Spain in 1878 for three focus, Girona, Málaga and Portuguese frontier, and its spread was relatively slow (mor than 45 years to arrive in La Mancha middle). The regions which are invaded belatedly, sach as Rioja, Cariñena, Requena, Jumilla, Tierra de Barros y La Mancha, saw their vinyards increasing, while another vinyards, sach as in Cataluña, Andalucia and Duero region, were dying literally. At the end of the crisis, in 1930, the Spanish vinyardsmap was very different from vinyardsmap in 1875.
