The Right to Knowledge in the Open Contents World

Abstract

One of the main goals of Law, in the framework of the new technological paradigm of the “Knowledge and Information Society”, is to guarantee the access to the data and knowledges available in Internet. In this way, it is possible to speak about a new Right to Knowledge recognized in rules of different kind. The appearance of new legal tools, as Creative Commons License, can be considered as an example of these new legal rules that involve, among others, a reconsideration and evolution in the way to understand the access to the digital contents on line and the exercise of author´s copyright and intellectual property.
