Arquitecture in the Online Universe
Abstract
Application and use of information technologies (IT) in the education and practice of architects is the main focus of this research. Since 2006, students and professors at the Architecture School of Granada have investigated in this field by means of the online collaboration platform CityWiki and metaverses. The purpose of this paper is to summarize some of the best practices and to describe the current state of development. The application of ITs to architectural practice and teaching offers a new professional scene that will be analyzed and discussed.
