The Descriptive Statistics and the ICT
Abstract
This article describes an innovation of the traditional methodology in the subject Descriptive Statistics through the incorporation the
Information Technology and Communication (ICT). The experience has helped to establish a partnership between various teachers who
teach in different degrees, after reviewing the course planning and also has improved the student involvement as active partner in the
knowledge construction. The Moodle, free and open-source e-learning software platform, of the University of Málaga has facilitated the
transmission of a more dynamic basic knowledge of statistics and has allowed devoting more time to economic and social interpretations
of the exercises.
