Analysis of College Student Mobility in the Framework of the Europe 2020 for the Promotion of Employment and Generic Competences. A Case Study at the University of Oviedo

Abstract

This study examines the perception of students regarding the benefits of student mobility in the European Higher Education Area. Especially we look at the analysis of generic competences which can promote more opportunities in searching a job. Thus, we approach a case study at the University of Oviedo from a quantitative methodology with reference to the targets established in Europe 2020 initiative. The findings show very positive results in interdisciplinary competences for job search, such as, linguistic competence, knowledge of new societies, and professional environments.
