Els sons del català? A Software for Independent Study?


Abstract


The main goal of this paper is to assess the usability of the website Els sons del català through the evaluation made by 30 students who have been teached Llengua catalana II (descripció Lingüística) (Catalan Language II (Linguistic description)), a subject present in the bachelor studies of Catalan Philology in the Universitat de Barcelona, in the academic year 2010-2011. Website’s evaluations range between excellence and regularity, with few aspects regarding the content and the navigation through the site to be improved. The website has clearly been proved to be an adequate and widely used resource as for the teaching of the subject.
